How long has Echelon Home Security been in business?
Echelon Home Security opened to the public in 2012. Prior to that, we only offered home and office security solutions to our clients of our parent company (Echelon Protective Services) which was opened in 2001.
What areas do you service?
We service the entire Denver Metro Area along the 470 loop (C-470). Basically, our main service area is from Longmont to Castle Rock and Evergreen to the eastern edge of Aurora (DIA).
We are also in the works of opening offices in Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, Phoenix, AZ and Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX.
What does it mean that you are a Veteran Owned Small Business?
Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) are small businesses that are owned and operated by U.S. Military Veterans. Our owner is a Marine Corps Veteran that served during Operation Enduring Freedom & Operation Iraqi Freedom (Afghanistan and Iraq).
We also have a comittment to our Veterans to employ Vets whenever possible. It is our goal to have an employment staff made up of over 75% Veterans.
Questions On Monitoring Services
Who provides your monitoring services?
Great question and very important to know. Many companies do not disclose who is actually doing the monitoring. We use Monitronics, the nations leading and award winning monitoring service. The only work with authorized dealers and do not publically advertise their services (tv, radio, print ads, etc). You can only get their services through an exclusive network of authorized dealers, such as Echelon Home Security.
Is Alarm.com a monitoring company?
No. Alarm.com is a service partner that provides customers the interactive features such as controlling system from smartphone, receiving text notification, video security solutions and using the automation features. Alarm.com works in conjunction with a monitoring company to provide the monitoring services (Monitronics) or can be used as a standalone feature if you choose not to have monitoring.

Why is monitoring important?
Monitoring is very important. Otherwise, your home security system is just a noise maker that irritates you and your neighbors. With 24/7/365 monitoring, you essentially have bodyguards watching over you and your home at all times.
Without monitoring, you are left the responsibilty to have the ability and to remember to call 9-1-1 in an emergency. If you are not home, you will not know there was an issue until you get home. Even if you have a gun, dog, or the best neighbors in the world that are always home and watching your home...you need a home security system that is monitored.

What brands do you offer?
We are a full-service home and office security company. We offer home security, home automation, office security systems, fire & medical alert monitoring, video security and more.
Our most common brands are 2gig Technologies, Honeywell, DSC & Interlogix. We are also an Alarm.com Authorized Dealer. All monitoring services are done though Monitronics.
Home much do your systems typically cost?
This a is a hard question to answer. Every home has a different need. To best anwer this question, we would range systems from $399.99 for a very basic system to $2,000 for a Fort Knox system.
Our monitoring ranges from $19.99 to $69.99 with everything from month to month agreement to 60 month agreements.

Do I have to purchase all equipment upfront?
No. We offer many different solutions to make home security affordable and that won't break the bank. Our systems are very affordable for one, however, we also offer 100% easy financing with up to 6 months no interest and no payments (or 12 months deferred interest).
We also have an in-house promotions department that give homeowners free equipment (credit & location qualifications may apply). If you are looking for the best equipment and don't mind having a sign in your front yard...this may be your best bet!

What payments do you accept?
Currently we accept cash or check. We have not had a need to accept credit cards, however, we do have a solution for those that can only pay by credit card.
We also have NEW 100% easy financing available to help you free up your cash instead of investing in the systems upfront.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. We now offer financing on all equipment and service purcahses of $99 or more.
Whether you are purchasing your equipment, buying add-ons and additional devices or wanting to roll in up to 12 months worth of monitoring...we have a solution.
When are payments due?
Payment is due for equipment at the time of purchase (unless being financed or other arrangements have been made).
Payments for services are set up on a due date fo your request.
All monthly payments are setup on auto-pay using ACH.
