There are many components and devices available on the market today.  Knowing what will work best in your home and for your family is key to being safer!

Security Panel (Control Panel)

Security Panel (Control Panel) is the primary component to any security system.  It is the user interface that controls the various functions of your home security or home automation system.  Control Panels come in a very wide range of designs, capabilities and features.

Some systems are wireless where they connect to all the different sensors and devices without any wires, where some panels still require wires to be run throughout your home.  Most Control Panels are now vibrant touchscreens versus the older keypad models.

Security Control Panels today even have capabilities to communicate to the monitoring center via cellular technology instead of through a phone line.  They can control lights and power outlets, and even connect to cameras.  Whatever your needs, there is a Control Panel and system that can solve it!

Medical Alert Pendant

We have all seen the commercials of the lady that has fallen and can't get up and thanks to her remote button, was able to get help.  Monitored Medical Pendants programmed to your home security system provide that service...plus some.  No need to have or pay for a separate system.  Get the peace of mind of a home security system tied into a medical alert system that has 24/7 monitored protection.

Medical Pendants come in many shapes and sizes.  Some wear around the next, some clip on your belt or pants and others can be worn around your wrist.  You can mount them on a wall or under a table.

When presses, it activates the trouble signal on the Control Panel and if you have 2Way capabilities, the Monitoring Center Operator will come online and talk with you about your emergency while dispatching the necessary help.

2Way Voice Features

2Way Voice Features changed everything years ago...and have only improved from there!  With 2Way Voice activated on your compatible home security system, homeowners can get instant access to help from the monitoring station.  When an alarm or sensor is triggered, it will activate the speaker and microphone on the Control Panel allowing the Monitoring Station to communicate with you.

This feature allows them to verify an emergency vs. a false alarm, get the appropriate emergency responders dispatched and can even help keep everyone calm during a stressful situation.

2Way Voice can also assist in determining whether a burglary has turned into a home invasion or hostage situation...and many times...scares away the intruders!

If tied in with the Medical Alert Pendant, you can have peace of mind knowing your loved ones are protected 24/7!

Smoke
Smoke/Heat/Freeze Detectors

The smoke detectors currently installed in your home are most likely just noise makers!  They are only useful when someone is home to be notified that they need to exit the house due to a fire...and requires you to call the Fire Department for help.

A Monitored Smoke Detector provides 24/7 protection in the event of a fire.  When connected to a home security system, if triggered, it notifies the monitoring center who in turns calls the Fire Department...even if no one is home.  This helps mitigate damage and will save lives in the event someone is unable to exit or has been affected by the smoke and unconscious.

Smoke Detectors come in many variations.  They can detect smoke, rapid rising heat and even freezing temperatures to prevent broken pipes.  You can connect them wirelessly or by hardwire to most systems.

When properly placed in the home correctly, there is nothing that can be more vital to saving your family and your home than a monitored smoke/heat detector.

CO Detector
CO Detector (Carbon Monoxide Detctor)

Carbon Monoxide is the silent killer that can affect any home.  Most states now require homeowners to place CO Detectors around the house to help warn occupants in the event of a gas or CO leak.

Much like the smoke detectors, the CO Detectors bought at the store and plugged in or screwed to a wall/ceiling only notify persons in the home of danger, and don't call for help.  Many times, occupants are unaware of the carbon monoxide in the air and will pass out before calling for help or safely exiting.  With a monitored CO detector, you and your family get 24/7 protection because they call for help in the event of a CO leak or detection.

Only requiring the occasional battery change like your smoke detectors, the CO Detector is a must for families.  They are available in wireless and hardwired models.

Thermostats
Thermostats

Energy efficiency is the goal of every homeowner today.  Home Security Systems have gone past just protecting the home from burglaries and fire and have entered into environmental protection for the home and wallet!

With a connected thermostat, your home security system transforms into a home automation system allowing you to control your HVAC and program it to be more efficient.  With interactive features using your smartphone, tablet or internet connect computer, you can control the thermostat from anywhere in the world, helping you save money and stay comfortable!

These thermostats connect to your control panel and do not require a separate service unlike many other connect thermostats.  They also allow other benefits making the homeowner capable of controlling the home security system by arming and disarming the entire system remotely from their phones!

Indoor Cameras

See what's happening at your home or office from the palm of your hand (or on your computer screen).  By connecting a indoor camera to your home security or home automation system, you can keep one eye on the people and property that matter most!  See when your kids come home from school, check in on your baby or nanny.  See if the cleaning lady came (and if she actually cleaned).

Indoor Cameras have also contributed greatly to crime prevention and arrests.  With more and more homeowners installing these cameras in their homes, more burglars are being later identified by police and assets are being recovered.

Connect wirelessly to your camera from the office or hotel and rest assured that you are protection what matters most! Most indoor cameras connect to your control panel wirelessly through a router and have night vision capabilities.

Outdoor Cameras

Did that package arrive yet?  See when it does with an outdoor camera.  Package theft is a rapidly rising crime as more Americans buy goods online.  The Delivery Man leaves the package on the front doorstep, rings the doorbell and moves on to finish his route, while a thief follows along and steals the packages off the doorstep knowing the homeowner is most likely at work or gone!

Outdoor Cameras are used to protect your property and provide greater security.  Watch over your car in the driveway, your pets in the backyard, see who is coming and going and provide law enforcement greater details in the event of a burglary.

Cameras are weatherproof and generally have infrared and night vision.  They can connect wirelessly or use specialty cables to connect to your system.  Like the indoor cameras, you can view them on any internet connected device, such as a smartphone or tablet.

KeyFobs/Remotes

Hate when you have your hands full with your briefcase or groceries and you can't turn the alarm off in time?  With a keyfob remote connected to your home security or home automation system, you can arm and disarm your system from the garage or driveway before entering the house with your hands full.

The remote also serves great as a secondary portable control panel, allowing you to arm and disarm from any room in the house and can even have a panic button programed to alert the system in case of an emergency situation.

About the size of your keyless entry remote, they run off a similar "watch-style" battery and you can program multiple remotes to the same system.
